Birthday Speeches

On 21st January 2018, five cousins celebrated their august years, and their loved ones made speeches. The five cousins are the descendants of four Jatar brothers (Kashinath (Bapurao), Rangnath (Balasaheb), Nilkanth (Bhausaheb), and Vishnu (Abasaheb).  The birthday people are Bal Borgaonkar (descendant of Balasaheb), Chandu Jatar (descendant of Bapurao), Brig. R.V. Jatar (descendant of Abasaheb), Maj. Gen. S.C.N. Jatar and his elder sister, 90 year old Dr. Usha Thakar (descendants of Bhausaheb).

Here are a series of videos (all made by Niharika Jatar) which show the loved ones talking about their elders. The first one despicts Ranjit Jatar, the son of Brig. R.V. Uma Jatar playing the violin with the Bombay Sapper Jazz Band

On the 21st of January 2018, five cousins celebrated their 85th and 90th years –  the descendants of four Jatar brothers, the sons of Shriram Jatar – Kashinath (Bapurao), Rangnath (Balasaheb), Nilkanth (Bhausaheb) and Vishnu (Abasaheb).

On this day the Bombay Sapper Jazz Band was playing at RSI Khadki. Uma Jatar, wife of Yashodhan Jatar, the grand-daughter-in-law of Abasaheb, and the daughter-in-law of Prabhakar Jatar, played the violin. Here are two videos of her playing. 85th and 90th Birthday Party of 5 cousins

On the 21st of January the descendants of four Jatar brothers (Kashinath (Bapurao), Rangnath (Balasaheb), Nilkanth (Bhausaheb), and Vishnu (Abasaheb) came together to celebrate their birthday.

The birthday people are Bal Borgaonkar (descendant of Balasaheb), Chandu Jatar (descendant of Bapurao), Brig. R.V. Jatar (descendant of Abasaheb), Maj. Gen. S.C.N. Jatar and his elder sister, Dr. Usha Thakar (descendants of Bhausaheb) who is 90 years old.

On the 29th of November there was a get together of the Jatar clan from six different branches of the family. This is the reduced version of the video.

Bhalachandra Jatar (Chandu) video

B.S. Jatar is the son of Baburao, the grandson of Bapurao and the great-grand son of Shriram Jatar. He lives in Mumbai.

Anjali Jatar is the daughter-in-law of Abasaheb, and the grand-daughter-in-law of Shriram Jatar, and the wife of Balkrishna Jatar.

Jayanta Jatar Video

Jayanta Jatar is the son of Appasaheb, and the grandson of Bapurao and the great-grand son of Shriram Jatar.

This video was shot by his daughter Sanhita’s son Priyank Jatar Get-Together held on (video recording here) the 29th of November 2015.

Jayantakaka reminisces about his childhood and talks a great deal about his grand-father, Bapurao, who was looked after his brothers and sisters after his father passed away.
